History

In the late 80s, Alessandro Pieri’s daughters inherited the family estate to the south of Montalcino and began planting vineyards in the early 90s. The estate officially became a winery in 1994 when the Pieri daughters began collaborating with an enologist.
As a newly emerged winery, the first step was to adopt traditional Montalcino methods, such as ageing the wine for three years in Slavonian oak barrels. Now measuring 11 ha., the estate has prime southwest-facing vineyard south of Montalcino.

Estate

Situated in Piancornello di S.Angelo Scalo, in the southern part of the municipality of Montalcino looking towards the Maremma, the farm comprises of around 20 hectares, of which 11 are vineyards and 8 are olive groves.

The management remains proudly family-run, with Jacopo taking care of the agronomic part, Francesco the cellar and production, with Agostina Pieri overlooking operations.
