From vines planted in 1970. Situated at 300 m.asl, with a southerly exposure. Soil is composed of sand (40%), Silt (33%), Clay (27%). Underlying this vineyard are the Diano sandstones , formed by mud-laden marine currents in the Helvetian period. These soils are sandier than those of Cannubi and produce a well-structured wine, which when young, may not always exhibit good balance. In fact, in good years it should be enjoyed only in its seventh or eighth year. Vines are guyot-trained, with 3,700 planted per ha. Rootstock K5BB.
