Nals Margreid is a cooperative founded in 1954, Nals Margreid is today formed of 160 hectares of vineyards and 138 members.
Winegrowing has a long tradition in Nalles and can be traced back to the Roman times. It was well known due to is position along the trade route: Via Appia. By 1063, Nalles gained enormous value as a wine growing area and in 1764, the Campi estate was built on the site of today’s winery.
Estate
The Nals Margreid estate owns ranging from 2 to 12 hectares in size, spread out between Nalles in the Adige Valley and Magrè in the South of South Tyrol.
Nalles is home to their Headquaters. It also contains the vineyards Sirman, Mantele and Gennen producing Pinot Bianco, Sauvignon, Riesling.
Bolzano, the historic wine trading town, is home to Gries and Santa Maddalena producing Lagrein, Schiava.
Oltradige is where the Appiano vineyard is situated, producing Pinot Bianco and Pinto Noir.
Bassa Atesina is thousands of years old in winemaking tradition producing: Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Bianco, Merlot, Cabernet from the Magrè, Punggl and Penon vineyards
